About

I'm a journalist, writer and editor based in London. After a PhD in physics with an interdisciplinary twist in creative writing, I moved into science journalism and communications. You can read me in BBC Sky at Night Magazine, Nature Biotechnology and Physics, Physics World, among others. I've covered topics from biosensors to the ethics of machine learning, on subjects as large as cosmology and as small as quantum mechanics. I've also been a fiction writer and editor for the last ten years, and am a co-founder and the current fiction editor of Tamarind, an in print literary magazine looking at the intersections of art and science. Feel free to reach out!

Editorial

I am co-founder and fiction editor of Tamarind, an in print and digital magazine focusing on the intersections of art and science. I work with authors to shape their stories, write accurately, and advocate for writers in competitions and other spaces. With Tamarind, I've interviewed Booker-prize nominated authors Martin MacInnes and Benjamin Labatut.

Alongside Tamarind, I have worked as an editor of fiction of all stripes on a freelance basis, from flash to full novels. I also work as an editor in the Nature portfolio, handling primary scientific research.
